Renovated Nunhems farm in Polpaico, Chile, shines during International Field Day
Polpaico (Chile).Last week, the Nunhems farm in Polpaico, Chile, opened its doors to welcome customers and distributors to an International Multicrop Field Day. The event marked the grand reopening of the station after months of refurbishing following the 2010 earthquake.
More than 200 guests from across Central and South America were shown around the vegetable assortment on display, including fresh-market tomato, sweet pepper, cabbage, onion, melon, watermelon, carrot and lettuce.
In addition to the personalized assistance from Nunhems sales specialists, the visitors enjoyed typical foods and drinks from the region and a raffle drawing event with attractive prizes. Overall, the Nunhems team looks back on a successful day of interaction and exchange with customers in the region.
The Polpaico facility is located 30 km north of Chile’s capital Santiago and hosts the research and development of new vegetable seed varieties as well as seed production and processing activities.
